The BOOKED Story
BOOKED for a Date began with a simple moment of inspiration. While visiting a local farmers market, founder Emalee Watts discovered a small business offering curated blind date book packages as an add-on to their products. The concept sparked an idea, and after sharing it with friends and family, Emalee envisioned creating something uniquely her own.
By combining thoughtfully selected books with specially crafted 3D-printed items and carefully chosen extras, BOOKED for a Date grew into more than just a business—it became a way to bring joy, surprise, and connection to fellow book lovers. What started as an idea has blossomed into a passion for creating memorable reading experiences and building a welcoming community for readers of all kinds.
Emalee is 27 years old, a wife, a mother, and a proud Kansas City, Kansas resident. When she's not creating book packages, she's spending time with her lively household of six beloved pets—three dogs and three cats.
